Temperature Controlled

Temperature controlled

Russell WBHO has delivered in excess of 1,000,000 sq ft of temperature controlled storage for clients right across the country. We are a member of the Cold Chain Federation and were, in 2020, named UK Cold Store Contactor of the Year by TCS&D Magazine.

The dedicated in-house temperature controlled construction team works closely with trusted external suppliers, all experts in this specialist field, taking on every aspect of the design and build for our major logistics clients, including the UK’s biggest cold storage operator Lineage Logistics, haulier NFT and numerous wholesalers at Manchester’s Smithfield Market.

For many customers in the temperature controlled construction sector we have been responsible for sourcing sites and secure planning permission, developing the design together with hand-picked architects, engineers, sustainability consultants, racking and refrigeration specialists.

Temperature Controlled Specifics

Temperature controlled facilities are at the forefront of sustainable design, operation and construction. Energy efficiency is a major factor in the design of any new facility in this sector, with solar installations and state-of-the art refrigeration systems becoming standard. See more about our award-winning Peterborough build, named Best Refrigeration Project in the 2020 ACR & Heat Pump awards.

Acting as an extension to the client’s own team is the secret to the successful 15 year relationship we have developed with global operator Lineage Logistics, as preferred  cold storage construction contractor for all of their UK facilities and providing turnkey projects to support their national expansion.

“Russell WBHO has been our go-to contractor for a decade and a half, they have supported our expansion and provided us with a vast portfolio of state-of-the-art cold storage facilities. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.”
