The Challenge

The complete demolition of an existing seven storey office building and basement with the formation of new basement, ground and 19 storey development above. The scheme consists of a 328 Bed Motel One Hotel and a 256 StayCity ApartHotel.

3 St Peters Square

The ground floor is predominantly front and back of house for Motel One with StayCity having an entrance lobby and direct and independent lift access to their own 9th floor dedicated reception and other front and back of house facilities.

 

Further lift access is provided to the Stay City apartments above and to the 19th floor. The building will form a key component of the central and prominent St Peters Square area of Manchester that the Manchester City Library and Manchester City Town Hall occupy. The proposed design has been sympathetic to these substantial Manchester landmarks and also the recently completed Number 1 and Number 2 St Peters Square.

Russell WBHO has been instrumental and a key team member in the development of this scheme from concept and through planning, keeping buildability and viability (to achieve tight budget) at the forefront of their targets.

As with many a number of Russell WBHO projects the site and total development is logistically challenging and Russell WBHO will play a lead role in the co-ordination and procurement of all aspects of deliverability and buildability, liaising with key Stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget and to exceed all expectations.
